The Student Advisor role is an associate level inside sales position whose primary responsibilities are sales growth, customer management, business development, new product growth, profitability, and building the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

The Student Advisor uses a consultative sales approach to be a resource and guide for our 6,000+ students and growing email list of nearly 13,000. You get to talk to students and warm prospects every day to help them take the next step in advancing their bookkeeping careers. Your deep knowledge of our products will help our students progress faster because of your greater support. You will reach out via call, text, and email to make product recommendations and guidance where needed.

This position serves as the primary point of contact for many students with our company and is responsible for client satisfaction and sales management from when a prospect enters our community and continues all the way though upleveling their skills and confidence in their journey. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and leadership. You are an experienced and efficient manager of customer relationships with excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic.

  • Review and follow up with abandoned carts and those who are interested but haven’t bought yet
  • Review our Booksmatch.us platform and contact the bookkeepers to recommend ways they can improve their profile and ways to upskill and earn more certifications and improve their marketability
  • Reach out to students with one or two certifications and help them clarify what and when to take the next step, whether certifications, or additional training
  • Contact students that cancel their QBO Gym subscription (our SaaS training product) and understand why and re-enrolling them when possible
  • Manage the company’s new and existing leads and CRM
  • Provide feedback to management to improve the student experience
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through consistent, proactive outreaches
  • Follow-up and work with prior customers that have reduced, stopped purchasing, or have not purchased the full product suite
  • Learn and execute proven sales processes to generate new sales opportunities by focusing on qualifying sales leads and managing deals from outreach to order
  • Determine the prospect’s pain, budget, and deal timing on each opportunity to best position our products and services
  • Manage our pipeline of interested prospects in the CRM that have not purchased from the company but have expressed interest
  • Represent the company by consistently modeling the company’s mission and values
  • Stay abreast of and learn about all new technical applications, products, programs, and services available to customers and utilize them when appropriate
  • Align the overall company solutions to the customer’s needs, challenges, and technical requirements
  • Maintain knowledge on current and new products and trends to educate customers
  • Analyze market trends and needs within the industry and customer base
  • Stay on top of the competitive environment, industry trends to continually adjust customer sales strategies
  • Engage in critical thinking and problem solving skills while leveraging product application knowledge to bring solutions to customer needs and opportunities
  • Ensure our unique selling propositions and differentiators are understood and valued
  • Manage to the Fast & Easy QBO internal sales process, and continuously seek ways to improve


  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a successful inside sales representative
  • Knowledge and working experience in QuickBooks Online and Fast & Easy QBO’s products
  • Prior experience successfully working in metrics driven environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt successful sales techniques
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly sales goals and targets
  • Intermediate level capability in using Microsoft Office and Google products
  • Knowledgeable with a CRM tool – preferably Keap (formerly Infusionsoft)
  • Manage to a proven sales process

You will be held to certain performance targets based on direct sales you are able to generate and will be rewarded for achieving or exceeding those targets.

Compensation for this role will include both base compensation as well as performance based compensation to align incentives for you, the students, and the growth opportunities in this role.
