If you are getting a “proxy” or “server” error message when trying to download the QuickNotes, exercises, or other documents in the course, here’s why: As you know, our courses are hosted by a company called SamCart. SamCart in turns hosts all our documents on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
In order to prevent harmful, unwanted downloads, some internet providers block these downloads from AWS.
The easiest way to get around the issue is to temporarily switch networks. For example, switch to the hotspot on your phone, or use the WiFi at a coffee shop or library.
If you would like some more technical things to try, follow the instructions found in this article (the article is specific to Firefox, but similar settings are available in other browsers), or reach out to your service provider.
